I am passionate about endurance sports. I am an ultramarathon runner and a long-distance triathlete. I train on roads and trails, and race locally, nationally, and internationally from 50 kilometers (31 miles) to 100-mile races. I finished my first marathon in October 2016. A month later, I ran my first 50K (ultramarathon). To me, an ultramarathon is not just a sport but a lifestyle. I also use long runs to practice mindfulness and sometimes to solve the world’s problems. I finished my first 100-mile race at the Canal Corridor 100 Mile Endurance Run in 2018. I was recognized as Female Runner of the Year by Medina County Road Runners (in 2017) and the Most Inspirational Runner (in 2019).
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, I have switched my focus from ultramarathon to long-distance triathlon. I completed my first half-Ironman distance at CassadagaMan in New York in 2020 and the first Ironman at Ironman Chattanooga in September 2022 (2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike, and a marathon 26.2-mile run complete in order).
In my free time, I enjoy doing yoga, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, scuba diving, knitting, sewing, and exploring new restaurants and breweries.
