UA Campus Programs Social Media Challenge “Shout-out Favorite Faculty Member”

The Department of Student Life Campus Programs at the University of Akron celebrated the Senior Week virtually by having multiple social media challenges. One of them was asking the graduating seniors to shout-out their favorite faculty member(s) or staff or campus. One of my students gave me a shout-out for this challenge. It feels so rewarding to be recognized by the students outside the classroom and to know that I have impact on their experience at the University of Akron.

Short video explaining the importance of cultures in marketing strategy for high school students

The University of Akron asked professors to create a short video for high school students explaining various topics that we teach or do research in.

Due to my research interest in cross-cultural consumer behavior, I chose to create a video on the importance of different cultures around the world and how they affect company’s marketing strategies. The idea was to keep it short, simple, and easy for lay people to understand.
